About the role
- In this role, you’ll serve as a strategic partner across business, technical, and vendor teams to ensure smooth execution of the EDMS modernization effort.
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Lead pre-discovery sessions with stakeholders to understand processes and evaluate form usage
- Analyze and document current-state workflows for all identified processes and forms
- Validate and define future-state workflows in collaboration with the client and vendor
- Identify, capture, and document additional requirements not covered within the EDMS program
- Integration Design & Management
- Coordinate configuration and data requests with the vendor for each process or form
- Develop detailed integration specifications for SWIFT and SEMA4 (inbound and outbound)
- Collaborate with technical leaders to create an integration strategy and project timeline
- Oversee integration activities with MNIT, DPS, MMB, and vendor teams
- Define data elements, exception handling, and success/failure criteria for integrations
- Testing & Validation
- Design and document high-level integration test scenarios covering both success and error paths
- Facilitate UAT for forms, workflows, and integrations
- Guide stakeholders through validation, documentation updates, and sign‑off
- Project Planning & Support
- Contribute to project plans across testing, deployment, communication, and training
- Present technical information in a clear way for non-technical audiences
- Support long-term knowledge transfer to ensure the client’s operational independence
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in an IT Business Analyst role
- Experience with large enterprise-level solutions and multi-stakeholder projects
- Proven ability to lead requirements gathering in fast-paced, complex environments
- Strong analytical background: gap analysis, problem definition, research, alternatives evaluation
- Experience with integration requirements, workflow analysis, and data mapping
- Demonstrated success partnering with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience with SWIFT, SEMA4, or other government enterprise systems
- Previous long-term BA engagements (1+ years each)
- Knowledge of QA methodology, testing principles, or project management frameworks
- Prior public-sector or state government experience
- IIBA CBAP or similar Business Analyst certification
