About the role

  • Deliver against monthly sales, volume, and distribution goals while achieving overall market objectives.
  • Build total distribution within assigned territory by developing relationships with retailers, distributors, brokers, and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and open new retail accounts while expanding existing accounts through additional SKUs, facings, cooler placements, secondary displays, and promotional opportunities.
  • Manage relationships with distributor field sales teams, motivating and guiding them to execute company sales goals and market objectives.
  • Conduct regular route rides with distributor partners and brokers to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and improve underperforming accounts and routes.
  • Manage and grow key retail chain relationships, including new item launches, promotional programs, and retail execution strategies.
  • Secure additional product placements and ensure strong in-store visibility through displays, coolers, and point-of-sale materials.
  • Plan and execute in-store samplings, demos, and local activations to drive trial and increase consumer awareness.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels and proper use of point-of-sale materials across accounts.
  • Collaborate with marketing and field teams to implement marketing initiatives that drive brand awareness and market share growth.
  • Maintain an updated key account list and actively build strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Analyze territory performance and provide weekly reporting and forecasting to the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Participate in regular sales meetings and distributor management meetings, providing documented reports on distribution, displays, and sales performance.
  • Track market performance metrics and identify opportunities for growth and operational improvement.
  • Assist with budget management, including incentives, branded merchandise, and sales-related expenses.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of beverage or CPG sales experience
  • Strong understanding of retail execution, distribution strategy, and customer behavior
  • Proven ability to build relationships with retailers, distributors, and field teams
  • Self-starter with strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments with a high level of ownership
  • Ability to analyze opportunities and execute sales strategies effectively
  • Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and collaboration tools (Slack, Zoom)
  • Willingness to travel extensively (75–85% field-based, including some overnight travel)
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs
