About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Architect and ship scalable cloud applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP using event-driven microservices and serverless architectures
- Build AI/ML integrations using modern frameworks, including prompt engineering, RAG patterns, and agent orchestration
- Lead technical architecture decisions, code reviews, development standards, and technical roadmaps
- Own full-stack development from accessible UI implementation to Django REST and GraphQL APIs
- Build real-time features using WebRTC, WebSockets, and Server-Sent Events
- Establish coding standards, testing strategies, documentation, and deployment patterns
- Champion DevOps, security compliance, CI/CD pipelines, and observability with APM tools
- Lead and mentor teams through agile delivery and technical knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with data engineering teams on pipeline integration and consumption patterns
- Lead production incident response and post-mortems
- Evaluate emerging AI/ML tools and frameworks
- Bridge product, design, and engineering to deliver client solutions
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years building production-grade solutions with proven technology leadership
- Expert in React, React Native, Redux or Zustand, TypeScript, modern JavaScript, and responsive component libraries
- Expert in AI application development with LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, AWS Bedrock, and OpenAI APIs
- Knowledge of token optimization, cost management, and streaming responses
- Expert in Python and Django with REST and GraphQL API design
- Experience with asyncio and FastAPI for AI workloads
- Experience with multimodal AI, fine-tuning, model adaptation, data quality, and AI governance
- Hands-on Docker and containerization experience
- Experience creating CI/CD pipelines with Git, Jenkins, and Artifactory
- Deep AWS, Azure, or GCP development experience, including serverless, containers, security, IAM, OAuth, JWT, and SSO
- Experience with RDBMS, NoSQL, and semantic databases, schema design, and query optimization
- Proficiency with Jest, Pytest, Selenium, Webpack, Vite, Git workflows, and trunk-based development
- Experience with CloudWatch, Sentry, and Langfuse
- Clear communication, initiative, follow-through, and collaborative problem-solving
- Life sciences background
- Cloud or AI developer certifications such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Experience shipping AI-powered features to production
- LLM and AI agent development experience
- Open-source contributions
- PWA development and edge computing optimization
