About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Fill short- and long-term nursing assignments throughout the health system
  • Float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations and regions
  • Assess patients, identify outcomes and solutions, plan care, implement interventions, and evaluate results
  • Act independently and appropriately within the RN license, scope of knowledge, and experience
  • Retain accountability for delegation, choices, decisions, and outcomes
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and contribute to quality improvement practices and outcomes
  • Take on new and additional responsibilities while managing competing priorities
  • Provide critical staffing support when unforeseen circumstances occur or positions are open due to extended leave
  • Work across a variety of practice settings within the local region or nationally

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Valid RN licensure authorized in the applicable state(s) of practice/employment
  • Minimum of two years of recent clinical experience for Critical Care and other specialties beyond Med Surg, Tele, and PCU
  • Required credentials for the specialty area, such as ACLS and TNCC
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS obtained through the American Heart Association
  • Willingness and qualification to float throughout hospitals, locations, and regions
  • Ability to practice independently within license, scope of knowledge, and experience
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and take on additional responsibilities
