About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Register patients and schedule appointments and surgeries
- Verify demographic, clinical, financial, and insurance information
- Accepts point of service payments and provides payment estimates
- Educate patients/families on registration kiosks or online systems
- Identify routine issues and escalate to Lead Patient Access Concierge
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma
- Associate degree preferred
- One to three (1-3) years experience in a hospital or clinic environment
- Knowledge of insurance and governmental programs, regulations and billing processes
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and medical record coding
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Data entry skills and organizational abilities
- Superior interpersonal skills
