About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Utilizes patient information and physician assessment to identify patient's scheduling needs.
- Prepares written orders for procedures.
- Collaborates with physician, various physician offices, surgical/procedure labs, and ancillary departments for scheduling of procedure.
- Collaborates with clinical staff for timing off procedure/surgery scheduling for medication adjustment.
- Schedules complex office visits by collaborating with clinical staff.
- Provides pre-procedure education.
- Conducts and ensure prior authorization.
- Schedules post procedure office visit and/or testing.
- Responsible for creating and managing an efficient schedule to assist maximizing utilization and physician productivity.
- Functions as a liaison between the physicians, patients, referring physicians, and members of the service line.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Three years experience of scheduling experience for physician practice or hospital/ancillary departments.
- Customer service oriented.
- Effective Communication Skills.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
