About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Utilizes patient information and physician assessment to identify patient's scheduling needs.
Prepares written orders for procedures.
Collaborates with physician, various physician offices, surgical/procedure labs, and ancillary departments for scheduling of procedure.
Collaborates with clinical staff for timing off procedure/surgery scheduling for medication adjustment.
Schedules complex office visits by collaborating with clinical staff.
Provides pre-procedure education.
Conducts and ensure prior authorization.
Schedules post procedure office visit and/or testing.
Responsible for creating and managing an efficient schedule to assist maximizing utilization and physician productivity.
Functions as a liaison between the physicians, patients, referring physicians, and members of the service line.

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school graduate or equivalent.
Three years experience of scheduling experience for physician practice or hospital/ancillary departments.
Customer service oriented.
Effective Communication Skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
