About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Utilizes patient information and physician assessment to identify patient's scheduling needs.
  • Prepares written orders for procedures.
  • Collaborates with physician, various physician offices, surgical/procedure labs, and ancillary departments for scheduling of procedure.
  • Collaborates with clinical staff for timing off procedure/surgery scheduling for medication adjustment.
  • Schedules complex office visits by collaborating with clinical staff.
  • Provides pre-procedure education.
  • Conducts and ensure prior authorization.
  • Schedules post procedure office visit and/or testing.
  • Responsible for creating and managing an efficient schedule to assist maximizing utilization and physician productivity.
  • Functions as a liaison between the physicians, patients, referring physicians, and members of the service line.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Three years experience of scheduling experience for physician practice or hospital/ancillary departments.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • Effective Communication Skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
