Key responsibilities & impact

Performs Echocardiography and/or Vascular diagnostic testing as per Accreditation Guidelines
Reviews physician orders to ensure correct procedure and correctly identifies patients
Performs all studies according to policy and procedures and standards established by accrediting body
Communicates pertinent patient data to appropriate team members
Collaborates with other departments to provide optimum patient care
Participates in evaluation of new equipment
Responsible for personal professional development and completion of annual competencies
Utilizes computers appropriate to areas of testing effectively.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associates or bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred
Registered by the ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) as RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) or RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) OR Registered by CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) as RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) or RVS (Registered Vascular Specialist) OR ARDMS or CCI Board-eligible AND achieve certification within 12-months of hire
Minimum one (1) year experience in cardiovascular imaging preferred
BLS certification required.
