About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Telephone customer service position providing excellent customer service to all callers
- Answering calls in a courteous manner
- Identifying callers' needs
- Transferring callers to the appropriate parties
- Logging the calls into the telephone log
- Uses telephone etiquette script to answer each call
- Answers the phone in a professional manner by the third ring
- Triages phone calls appropriately and in a timely manner
- Identifies the caller's needs and meets or exceeds expectations
- Transfers calls to the appropriate parties
- Determines availability of the receiving party
- Identifies appropriate course of action if receiving party is unavailable
- Identifies and reports all issues or problems with the telephone system to manager
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or equivalent
- Health care or Home Care experience preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Displays optimal critical thinking skills.
- Knowledge of Medicare rules and regulations preferred
- Working knowledge of managed care environment preferred
- Experience multi-tasking on multiple computer systems.
- Ability to consistently demonstrate a commitment to the mission and Organizational Code of Ethics, and adhere to the Compliance Program.
