About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Telephone customer service position providing excellent customer service to all callers
  • Answering calls in a courteous manner
  • Identifying callers' needs
  • Transferring callers to the appropriate parties
  • Logging the calls into the telephone log
  • Uses telephone etiquette script to answer each call
  • Answers the phone in a professional manner by the third ring
  • Triages phone calls appropriately and in a timely manner
  • Identifies the caller's needs and meets or exceeds expectations
  • Transfers calls to the appropriate parties
  • Determines availability of the receiving party
  • Identifies appropriate course of action if receiving party is unavailable
  • Identifies and reports all issues or problems with the telephone system to manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Health care or Home Care experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Displays optimal critical thinking skills.
  • Knowledge of Medicare rules and regulations preferred
  • Working knowledge of managed care environment preferred
  • Experience multi-tasking on multiple computer systems.
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate a commitment to the mission and Organizational Code of Ethics, and adhere to the Compliance Program.
