About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide leadership and direction of essential facility maintenance, grounds and in-house construction services
Prioritize needed repairs and renovations
Assist in the management and development of departmental budgets
Guide personnel related issues and staff development
Ensure compliance with health, life safety, and building codes
Direct daily facility operations at Loyola University Medical Center or the Community Hospitals
Work directly with regional BAS Coordinator on operational improvements to mechanical systems
Collaborate with the facilities leadership team to consolidate contracted services and perform PDC project oversight

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent experience)
Master’s degree preferred
3–5 years of relevant experience required
6–10 years preferred
5+ years of leadership/management experience
Certifications (Preferred): Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM), Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP)
