About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform activities to identify, investigate, and resolve health record documentation errors
- Collaborate with various teams to maintain the integrity of patient records
- Manage Epic Chart Correction InBasket for ambulatory and acute settings
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of chart corrections
- Attend team and departmental meetings and assist with Epic Incoming Messages
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED required
- Associates Degree in Health Information Management, Computer Science Informatics, Information Technology, or related equivalent field preferred
- Minimum five (5) years of extensive healthcare documentation and/or HIM experience
- Strong attention to detail and advanced problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze complex information and make effective decisions
- Knowledge of hospital computer systems and EHRs
