About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the technical architecture and roadmap for Document Crunch data systems
  • Lead migration from Redshift to Snowflake, including assessment, target design, sequencing, validation, and cutover
  • Build and maintain ingestion pipelines, warehouse models, transformation layers, orchestration, data contracts, and deployment workflows
  • Implement standardized product telemetry and integrate CRM and operational data into Trimble enterprise systems
  • Map data into Trimble processed-layer and Customer 360 master entities
  • Partner on master data management, survivorship rules, cleansing, identity resolution, and reconciliation
  • Define dimensional, domain, and semantic data models for analytics, reporting, and AI
  • Implement data-quality controls, observability, alerting, lineage, and incident response
  • Establish data freshness, reliability, completeness, and recovery expectations
  • Onboard metadata into the enterprise catalog and establish glossary, ownership, and lineage standards
  • Document business logic, metric definitions, data contracts, and source-of-truth decisions
  • Partner with Security, Privacy, Legal, and Data Governance teams on access, retention, and policy requirements
  • Own the foundation for executive dashboards and self-service analytics
  • Evaluate and rationalize BI tools, data products, and reporting workflows
  • Develop data and semantic foundations for conversational analytics, AI agents, natural-language querying, and AI-assisted dashboards
  • Build or integrate secure interfaces for approved AI systems to discover and use governed data
  • Serve as Document Crunch’s primary technical and operational contact for the Trimble Data Team
  • Lead workshops, architecture reviews, roadmap alignment, and knowledge exchange across stakeholders
  • Codify the integration into a reusable, code-driven M&A Data Integration Playbook

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Hands-on technical leadership in end-to-end data platform architecture and engineering
  • Ability to modernize a data estate and align it with enterprise standards
  • Experience with Redshift-to-Snowflake migration, including architecture, validation, and cutover
  • Experience building ingestion pipelines, warehouse models, transformation layers, orchestration, data contracts, and deployment workflows
  • Knowledge of warehouse-as-code practices
  • Ability to implement product telemetry and enterprise data integration
  • Experience with CRM, operational data, master data, Customer 360, identity resolution, and reconciliation
  • Experience defining dimensional, domain, and semantic data models
  • Experience implementing dbt tests, business-rule validation, asset checks, and pipeline alerting
  • Knowledge of data observability, freshness, volume anomalies, schema drift, lineage, and incident response
  • Experience with metadata catalogs, business glossaries, ownership models, lineage standards, and data governance
  • Ability to work with Security, Privacy, Legal, and enterprise Data Governance teams
  • Experience enabling executive dashboards, self-service analytics, and BI rationalization
  • Knowledge of conversational analytics, AI agents, natural-language querying, Snowflake Cortex Search, Cortex Agents, enterprise NLP frameworks, and MCP-style services
  • Ability to lead cross-functional architecture reviews, workshops, roadmap alignment, and knowledge exchange
  • Ability to influence architecture and standards without an initial people-management mandate
  • Minimal travel requirement
