About the role

Understands and executes manual test cases; analyzes user requirements to create test scripts and record results
Identifies and reports bugs in the Test Case Management tool; understands defect management process and communicates findings to development team and project owner
Executes regression test cases, records results in test case management tools (e.g., MTM/AZDO or Jira), determines failures and logs bugs
Creates test cases clear enough for automation engineers to automate; suggests potential automation opportunities
Understands fundamentals of performance testing and analyzes performance metrics such as response times
Understands CI/CD concepts and reviews QA/Dev release definitions to ensure completion; identifies errors in error logs
Follows QA processes in conjunction with Agile; manually executes tests, creates test data, deploys code to test environments using build scripts, and produces test reports
Plans testing for projects: identifies scope, creates test suites, estimates story points, prioritizes and schedules testing to meet deadlines
Participates in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, planning, retrospectives) and conveys work status to team
Exchanges straightforward information and builds stable working relationships internally

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
1 to 2 years of relevant experience in Automation testing (Mandatory)
Demonstrated testing skills and understanding of QA processes
Coding experience in C# or Java (Mandatory)
Working experience with test automation methodologies and tools (Selenium - May be) and other testing tools/frameworks like BDD, Gherkin, Cucumber are preferred
Experience with virtualization architecture and controlled test environments
Knowledge of the JIRA would be an advantage
Basic troubleshooting and debugging skills
Experience of working within a Global Organization would be an advantage
Experience working in an Agile Development Environment, ideally with experience working with a distributed team
