About the role
- Monitoring every phase of the software development process to ensure design quality and adherence to company standards
- Assuring quality of requirements, delivered products and compliance of project processes
- Performing manual testing on various test levels (integration, system, acceptance)
- Executing test types: functional, basic performance, usability, security, regression, smoke, sanity
- Communicating closely with development team members to find appropriate and timely solutions
- Analyzing and reporting results of testing: test reports and defect reports; tracking defects to closure
- Maintaining test environment and test data
- Creating and maintaining testing documentation: test cases, check lists
- Reports to QA Engineer Team Lead / Head of Freight Audit IT
Requirements
- 1+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance and/or software testing
- Good knowledge of testing principles, methods and test design techniques
- Deep understanding of SDLC and testing processes
- Knowledge of test documentation development principles and methods
- Understanding of SQL and hands-on experience with an RDBMS
- Experience with XML, JSON, Web Services/REST, SQL (SELECT, UPDATE, JOINS), network protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, SMTP)
- Experience using API testing tool (e.g. Postman)
- Experience using issue-tracking tool (e.g. JIRA)
- Acquainted with CI (Jenkins) and version control (GIT) is a plus
- Basic Linux commands is a plus
- English language at Intermediate level or higher
- Competences: can-do attitude; quick learner; takes initiative; works cooperatively across the organization; attentive listener
