About the role
- As the STO (Single Threaded Owner) Manager, you will lead a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers/owners and designers to drive the product towards a stable and scalable state while fostering innovation and maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- You will actively gather feedback from customers and translate it into actionable insights for continuous product development.
- Your goal is to ensure the product not only meets but exceeds customer expectations, driving sustainable revenue growth.
- You will be responsible for managing a dedicated product team under the Ocean and Air Visibility umbrella, aligning team efforts with strategic objectives.
- Lead and mentor cross-functional engineering, product, and design teams, setting clear goals and fostering professional growth.
- Define, communicate, and align teams around the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, grounded in customer and market insights.
- Drive technical excellence, using metrics to monitor code quality, delivery velocity, and overall engineering performance.
- Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending tools and practices to improve engineering capabilities.
- Track product performance and user engagement, communicating risks, opportunities, and progress to leadership and stakeholders.
- Manage team operations, including weekly 1:1s, performance evaluations, feedback delivery, and talent recruitment or restructuring.
- Prioritize work and ensure strong documentation and knowledge sharing, enabling delivery of a scalable, reliable product aligned with OKRs and organizational goals.
Requirements
- 5–10+ years in software engineering, technical product roles, product management or similar.
- Previous experience managing teams preferred
- Strong understanding of Software development processes (Agile, CI/CD, testing) and sprint planning, system architecture and code quality standards, and technical metrics (velocity, code health, reliability)
- Ability to translate customer requirements into scalable and reusable features
- Stakeholder management and strong collaboration with other teams
