About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Report to the Executive Vice President, Strategic Sourcing
  • Lead TriMark’s commercial vendor agenda, including supplier negotiations, RFPs, strategic vendor selection, commercial terms, imports, pricing and margin strategy, and representation of TriMark in buying groups
  • Own the Private Label program end-to-end, from development through range implementation
  • Lead negotiation strategy and execution across the product portfolio, including costs, rebates, payment terms, freight terms, exclusivity, incentives, marketing funds, and service-level commitments
  • Develop and execute an annual supplier negotiation roadmap
  • Lead complex strategic-vendor negotiations and build negotiation playbooks
  • Own the commercial vendor scorecard
  • Design, run, and award enterprise RFPs, RFQs, and competitive bid events
  • Establish RFP governance and track post-award implementation and savings compliance
  • Own strategic vendor selection and evaluate the supplier portfolio
  • Reduce total landed cost, improve supplier economics, and mitigate sourcing risk
  • Own Private Label sourcing strategy, supplier selection, cost negotiation, product development, and network-wide range implementation
  • Serve on the joint Private Label Brand Committee
  • Ensure Private Label launch readiness, inventory planning, field communication, and performance monitoring
  • Lead enterprise pricing and margin strategy with the Pricing team
  • Connect negotiated cost improvements to pricing actions
  • Own import programs and international supplier relationships
  • Partner with Supply Chain and Operations on inventory planning, lead times, freight, and customer service
  • Negotiate, audit, and recover rebates, supplier income, and program funds
  • Align sourcing with inventory health, turns, fill rates, working capital, and obsolescence objectives
  • Represent TriMark with buying groups, purchasing organizations, and strategic external supplier partners
  • Co-own new product introduction stage gates and attend all vendor QBRs
  • Build, lead, and develop sourcing, Private Label, and analytical teams
  • Participate in weekly Sourcing / Category Management alignment meetings and monthly joint business reviews with the EVP
  • Ensure supplier, cost, and sourcing changes are communicated and implemented across Sales, Pricing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field
  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in sourcing, procurement, supplier negotiations, merchandising, or related commercial functions
  • Demonstrated success leading complex supplier negotiations and RFP events with measurable financial impact
  • Experience in multi-site distribution, foodservice, hospitality, wholesale, retail, or similarly complex product environments
  • Experience leading Private Label programs, supplier portfolio strategy, and inventory-related sourcing decisions
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced, execution-oriented environment
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders, suppliers, and external partners
  • Experience in foodservice equipment, supplies, smallwares, disposables, or adjacent B2B distribution categories
  • Experience owning import programs and global sourcing relationships
  • Familiarity with buying groups, GPOs, or strategic supplier consortiums
  • Experience leading pricing or margin strategy in partnership with dedicated pricing teams
