About the role

  • Analyze, interpret, and reverse-engineer existing Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) workflows and data transformation logic
  • Document and understand current data flows, dependencies, and legacy data structures
  • Design Snowflake-optimized data models and ELT patterns that improve performance and scalability
  • Write performance-aware SQL and implement ELT transformations within Snowflake
  • Restructure inefficient or “stair-step” legacy models into normalized, maintainable, and scalable architectures
  • Cleanse legacy artifacts, including redundant columns, null-handling inconsistencies, and outdated dependencies
  • Design conformed and curated data objects to support analytics and reporting needs
  • Build modular, testable transformation pipelines using DBT or approved transformation tools
  • Manage Snowflake development environments, including roles, access control, and governance for development work
  • Establish data validation and reconciliation patterns to compare Oracle vs. Snowflake resultsImplement data quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency during migration
  • Collaborate closely with QA and review teams to validate transformation logic and performance outcomes
