About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conducting environmental due diligence work on telecommunications and commercial real estate projects
- Phase I and II ESA responsibilities include conducting site visits of wireless communications facilities and commercial properties
- Reviewing historical records, environmental and regulatory databases
- Drafting a standardized report in accordance with ASTM E-1527-21 (AAI)
- NEPA responsibilities include conducting site visits of proposed wireless communications facilities
- Conducting preliminary screening of listed and/or proposed threatened or endangered species
- Prepare a template NEPA report
- Conduct migratory bird evaluations and necessary permitting with state/local agencies
- Travel to project location, take detailed notes and photographs of site (2-4 days per week)
- Conduct interviews, analyze government database records, perform regulatory agency file reviews; reviewing historical data
- Performing QA/QC to the satisfaction of both management and clients and completing requested revisions & submitting report within pre-established timelines
- Conduct field work to collect samples of potentially contaminated subsurface media (soil, groundwater, and soil vapor) and/or indoor air
Requirements
What you’ll need- 0-2 years of field experience conducting environmental due diligence work
- Attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to use Personal Vehicle for travel
- Ability to conduct field work
- Ability and willingness to travel (75% travel, 25% office)

- Phase II Assessments (ASTM E1903)
- Preferred Qualifications / Experience: NEPA/Section 106 Assessments
- 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification
- Mold assessment/indoor air quality (IAQ) experience
- Licensed Asbestos/Lead-based paint Inspector
- Transaction Screen Assessments (ASTM E1528)
- Property Condition Assessments (ASTM E2018)
- Record Search with Risk Assessments (SBA SOP 50 10 6)
- Environmental Professional (EP)
- Wetland Delineations
- Working knowledge of the nesting cycle and behaviors of common raptor species
- Experience using binoculars, spotting scopes, and cameras
- Experience with “digiscoping” techniques
- Avian surveys
- Regulatory agency permitting
