About the role
- Hire (or assume supervision of), train, lead, and manage the activities of personnel in the Atlanta office.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients within the Georgia Area of Responsibility, generally including GA, AL, NC, SC, and eastern TN, with potential oversight of additional clients /regions as needed.
- Perform semi-annual performance and salary reviews of all direct reports.
- Provide weekly office status updates (including personnel, workload, and other relevant metrics).
- Supervise, review, and submit NEPA, Phase I, Phase II, and other technical reports as needed, ensuring all deliverables meet internal QA/QC standards and client expectations.
- Communicate scopes of work clearly and effectively, and guide clients through complex sites, offering alternatives to avoid potential barriers and ensure project efficiency.
- Manage client relationships, including distributing weekly project trackers, initiating new projects, handling purchase orders and requests, assigning tasks, and monitoring project progress.
- Support the development and expansion of client relationships within the designated Area of Responsibility.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
- Experience managing employees and clients is preferred
- Valid Driver's license
- Environmental Professional (EP) status in accordance with ASTM E1527 (not required)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in biology, geology, environmental sciences, or related field
