• Trellis is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to drive exploratory analysis and model development for data-scarce and emerging problems in our Real-Time Bidding (RTB) and pricing systems.
• You’ll design and conduct exploratory studies, create transparent analytical reports, and build research-grade models that inform business decisions and evolve into production-ready systems.
• This role sits at the intersection of analytics, modeling, and product – collaborating closely with ML engineers, software engineers, and BI to turn ambiguous problems into scalable solutions.

Senior Data Scientist

Machine Learning Engineer

• Research, design, and implement advanced ML models for conversion rate prediction, value estimation, and pacing
• Build robust feature pipelines with BigQuery and Dataflow, ensuring low-latency inference at scale
• Deploy, monitor, and continuously improve models in production using Vertex AI
• Develop and maintain MLOps frameworks to automate training, evaluation, and deployment
• Partner with backend and distributed systems engineers to integrate models into high-throughput bidding services
• Contribute to experimentation frameworks and A/B testing of ML-driven bidding strategies

Full-stack Engineer

• Design, implement, and operate robust, high-throughput distributed services including ML serving infrastructure
• Evolve real time bidding (RTB) services and machine learning serving services and infrastructure
• Manage and optimize Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem
• Design and maintain high-throughput distributed systems that gracefully handle large-scale data pipelines
• Own and operate integrations with external partners, laying the foundation for long-term growth
• Be a critical voice in technical strategy, architecture decisions, and product direction
• Stay fast and focused, delivering impact through smart choices

Business Intelligence Analyst

• Lead the BI function, mentoring the team and establishing best practices in data modeling, transformation, and visualization
• Own the full BI stack across real-time bidding and advertising campaign performance
• Develop and maintain BI models using dbt and SQL, ensuring accuracy and scalability
• Build and oversee dashboards and reporting in Looker (LookML) or Tableau for campaign performance monitoring
• Partner with engineering and ML teams to define datasets and metrics optimized for analytics
• Provide strategic insights to leadership on advertising campaign effectiveness and RTB system performance

• Architect and build intelligent systems that power natural, engaging conversations between users and our platform
• Transform high-level product initiatives into scalable, well-tested technical solutions
• Define scope, set technical direction, and mentor teammates on complex projects
• Guide the team through tough challenges, offer thoughtful code reviews, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and collaboration
