Job Level

About the role

  • Partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to shape and execute financial strategy, providing clear insights and recommendations that inform decisions across GTM, R&D, operations, and deal structuring
  • Build, own, and continuously refine the company's financial and operating model, translating our enterprise deal structure, hardware costs, and growth drivers into a narrative that is clear, compelling, and investor-ready
  • Develop financial analyses to support growth initiatives, including new product and pricing decisions, channel expansion, and capital allocation
  • Lead our fundraising process, including financial due diligence preparation, data room management, and capital structure strategy across equity, debt, and hardware financing partnerships
  • Maintain strong focus on accuracy, cash discipline, and the metrics that actually matter to the business
  • Own Treeswift's financial model end-to-end, translating our deal structure, hardware costs, and growth drivers into a clear, compelling narrative for our employees, investors and our board
  • Define the metrics that matter: own and govern the key financial and operational metrics used to monitor business performance, ensuring consistent definitions and a single source of truth across the company
  • Partner with GTM, operations, and product to drive decisions that improve business economics - from gross margin and CAC to product-line profitability and net revenue retention
  • Work closely with Business Operations to bring financial rigor to core operational functions, from invoicing and cash management to AR/AP, building the foundation that keeps the business running cleanly.
  • Develop a value-based pricing strategy grounded in customer outcomes and built to scale across our multi-year enterprise deals
  • Collaborate with key cross-functional partners including the People and Legal teams to develop efficient policies and processes, such as sales compensation plans and reimbursement policies.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in finance with increasing scope - experience at a private equity, growth equity, or venture capital fund (consumer-focused a plus)
  • You've worked in or alongside a hardware or capital-intensive business - you understand COGS, hardware financing, and why non-SaaS models require a different playbook
  • You're a strong financial modeler who builds from scratch and knows how to make models actually useful to a business
  • You've supported or led fundraising processes and know what investors expect to see - you've "seen it happen" and can run the process
  • You're scrappy, curious, and in touch - you don't wait for perfect data, you stay close to the business, and you're genuinely excited to learn an industry that doesn't fit neatly into any existing framework
  • Based in or able to regularly commute to NYC - live in the tri-state area

  • Comprehensive medical, dental and vision insurance
  • Unlimited vacation policy and company holidays
  • Life insurance - basic life, supplemental life, and dependent life.
