About the role
- Manage workers compensation claims
- Assist in determining benefits due to injured workers
- Adjudicate claims within company standards
- Comply with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Initial contact with employers, injured workers, and medical providers within 24 hours
- Ensure timely claims determinations and payment completion
- Manage legal aspects of claims and direct designated attorneys
- Coordinate with clerical staff on claim-related duties
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 2-3 years’ claims experience preferred
- Insurance industry knowledge preferred
- Excellent analytical skills and verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
