About the role

  • Lead development and execution of strategies articulating FILSPARI clinical and economic value to US payers and healthcare decision-makers.
  • Create evidence-based communication materials (value dossiers, slide decks, payer-facing materials) and support payer negotiations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Payer and reimbursement field teams, HEOR, Medical Affairs, Government Affairs, Marketing, and Legal.
  • Provide training, tools, and insights to support payer engagement and field teams.
  • Partner with HEOR to identify data gaps and guide evidence generation and post-hoc analyses.
  • Monitor payer policies, reimbursement trends, competitor positioning, and legislative changes.
  • Contribute to brand planning, market access strategy, and lifecycle management.
  • Shape payer engagement strategies using market research and advisory boards.
  • Support promotional compliance review and implementation of pull-through programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree, MBA or MA preferred with degree concentration in marketing research, business, marketing, life sciences or other related fields. An equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience may be considered.
  • 10+ years of combined relevant work experience in market access, sales, marketing, sales operations, HEOR, payer analytics, market research or strategic brand consulting in the Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry; minimum of 5 years with progressive leadership experience.
  • Preferred experience in rare disease
  • Experience in payer/brand marketing
  • Previous experience in working with medications that are distributed via specialty pharmacy models
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to utilize those within broader narratives and explanations
  • Experience in developing payer and segment specific marketing insights and incorporating the payer into the brand/strategic planning process
  • Experience developing and managing a promotional budget
  • Understanding of corporate finance fundamentals (gross & net sales, P&L inputs, gross margin, COGs, working capital, etc.)
  • Ability to travel up to 30% domestically
  • All positions have an essential job function to be able to perform face to face work with colleagues and/or onsite in San Diego. No role is expected to be 100% remote.
