About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead agile product teams through complex, high-impact transformation, including AI-driven claim capabilities
  • Develop and empower leaders at every level
  • Partner with Technology to translate business strategy into delivered outcomes
  • Drive innovation and make trade-offs on funding, resources, and priorities
  • Define, communicate, and champion agile team work toward common business outcomes
  • Lead teams, multiple business units, or product lines/assets across Circles, Value Streams, and organizations
  • Partner with the Technology Circle Lead to implement multi-team vision and strategy
  • Align work to value stream outcomes, business architecture, and strategic roadmaps
  • Drive and track portfolios of deliverables, capabilities, and experimentation
  • Measure performance and adjust delivery roadmaps as needed
  • Prioritize interdependent team backlogs and manage risks and dependencies
  • Make trade-off decisions balancing quality, cost, and timelines
  • Identify innovative solutions and conduct competitive and industry benchmarking
  • Oversee funding and resource allocation and prioritize work based on data
  • Lead positive team dynamics, collaboration, and appropriate self-organization
  • Assess and partner with external resources and vendors as needed
  • Remove impediments and assist with conflict, issue, and dependency management
  • Build collaborative relationships across Circles and with key partners
  • Share best practices across the value stream
  • Grow agile maturity across teams
  • Manage team members and potentially other Circle Leads
  • Champion AI
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Six years of experience in an agile/execution leadership role delivering business solutions on a demanding schedule
  • Four years of people leadership/management experience (ideal candidate profile)
  • Six years of relevant business experience (must have)
  • Three years of people leadership/management experience (must have)
  • Strong business acumen and deep strategic mindset
  • Proven analytical skills and experience making decisions based on hard and soft data
  • Strong knowledge of the Line of Business
  • Ability to develop and leverage business and/or vendor partnerships
  • Ability to consult on business priorities and optimize value through solution identification aligned with business objectives
  • Agile mindset and knowledge of Agile values, principles, practices, and methodologies
  • Product mindset focused on defining a product value proposition aligned with Circle/Value Stream objectives
  • Expert change leadership skills, including creating an inclusive environment, managing conflict, and mitigating risk
  • Ability to influence leaders at all levels without traditional hierarchy
  • Servant leadership approach
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and adjust to the target audience
  • Expertise working in a cross-functional, multi-team environment
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and team development
