  • Design and guide the technology vision enabling business transformation
  • Create enterprise-wide solutions bridging current capabilities with future possibilities
  • Establish scalable architectures using cloud-native technologies, APIs, AI/ML, and emerging platforms
  • Orchestrate technical strategy for development teams
  • Define target states, technology roadmaps, and architectural frameworks
  • Lead technology proofs of concept and ensure architecture solution feasibility
  • Conduct hands-on prototyping and technology proofs of concept
  • Drive continuous technology transformation to minimize technical debt

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related STEM field, or equivalent education and/or work experience
  • 8 years of architecture experience
  • 6 additional years of architecture/software engineering experience
  • Strong architecture and recent hands-on engineering experience with modern technologies
  • Experience architecting large-scale technology initiatives
  • Advanced leadership and influencing skills
  • Extensive experience working in an agile operational model
  • Experience supporting transformational change
  • Ability to adjust plans, priorities, and strategies in response to changing circumstances
  • Insurance technology experience preferred
  • Understanding of value creation and business capability models
  • Strong knowledge of the insurance industry
  • Experience identifying and analyzing current/future problems and opportunities
  • Ability to evaluate information, understand root causes, and explore alternative solutions
  • Ability to work collaboratively to achieve mutually responsible results
  • Extensive experience exercising sound judgment and making decisions
  • Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills
