About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversee daily Accounts Payable operations and manage direct reports
Assist with work prioritisation
Ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, expense reports, and payment runs
Own month-end processes, including posting journals, variance analysis, and Balance Sheet Reconciliations
Monitor and update Finance Operations policies
Ensure compliance with Payment Practices reporting
Manage the purchase order process across sub-teams
Deliver training to ensure business-wide purchase order compliance
Support internal and external audits
Manage workbooks to EUC standards
Perform quarterly regression testing
Mentor team members and modernise transactional workflows using SAP ByDesign and SAP Concur

Requirements

What you’ll need

Qualified or finalist accountant: ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
Strong double-entry bookkeeping and transactional accounting expertise
Experience completing Balance Sheet Reconciliations, numerical analysis, and resolving discrepancies
Experience leading, mentoring, and directing team members in a fast-paced environment
Confidence using SAP ByDesign
Experience managing expense workflows in SAP Concur
Knowledge of corporate finance control frameworks, including Audit and SoX controls
Advanced Excel capabilities
Highly organised and adaptable to changing priorities
Strong relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders
