About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage data availability, usability, integrity, security, and privacy
Assist with implementing data quality processes for business purposes
Perform data profiling and analysis and communicate results
Meet with business customers to understand and apply data quality requirements
Define and catalog data, policies, metadata, data lineage, and transformation rules
Ensure naming definitions and standards are followed
Participate in creating data models, including entity design and population
Test and validate requirements and data management capabilities
Apply understanding of data models, relationships, mapping lineage, and business rules
Create detailed test strategies and test plans
Perform root cause analysis and resolve business data issues
Gather and maintain enterprise knowledge using tools, processes, and workflows
Participate in taxonomy maintenance and governance
Provide data subject matter expertise and support internal and external clients
Perform data impact analyses with project teams
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or one year of equivalent data and analytics experience
Knowledge of ETL / Data Integration tools
Knowledge of one or more data platforms
Knowledge of Cloud Computing Technologies and related emerging technology
Experience with one or more of: SQL, Teradata, Python, Hive, MicroStrategy, Ab Initio, Messaging, NoSQL
Written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with business partners
Ability to foresee challenges and proactively create more efficient processes
Ability to foster relationships with peers to achieve objectives
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time and competing priorities
Basic understanding of overall data models, data relationships, mapping lineage, and business rules
