About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary Credit Risk Management analyst and contact for assigned industry sectors
- Partner with agents, brokers, customers, and business units on account credit risk exposure
- Perform credit analysis of prospects and customers and produce accurate, timely credit ratings with documentation
- Make credit and collateral recommendations supporting retention and new business goals
- Collaborate with marketing and underwriting teams in renewal and new business processes
- Participate in client and prospect calls while maintaining confidentiality of client financial information
- Establish and maintain relationships with investment community contacts, brokers, clients, billing and collections, and management
- Conduct target market research and gather competitive intelligence
- Communicate research findings and recommendations
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement enhancements
- Support evaluation of credit analysis systems and methodologies
- Participate in client investor presentations and industry associations
- Engage in ongoing educational opportunities to expand credit and industry knowledge
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline
- 5 years of experience in increasingly responsible positions in credit risk management or financial analysis
- Master’s Degree
- 7 years of experience in credit risk management, financial analysis, and/or risk assessment
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or other professional designation
- Background in financial analysis, risk assessment, and portfolio management
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Knowledge of an assigned industry segment with exposure to marketing and underwriting functions
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
