About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for leading the Cross-Domain architecture team within Bond & Specialty Insurance, spanning shared platforms and integration capabilities that serve multiple business lines and align with enterprise technology divisions.
Define target state technology architecture and roadmaps.
Serve as primary architecture liaison to Prod & Tech Value Stream and Customer Value Stream leadership.
Drive cross-domain architecture decisions that affect multiple business lines.
Ensure alignment of initiatives to target state, enterprise standards and business objectives.
Identify opportunities to capitalize on technology advances.
Champion adoption of Agentic AI/ML, cloud-native, and event-driven architecture patterns.
Define and lead technology proof of concepts.
Collaborate with Technology and Business leadership to develop architecture priorities and direction.
Optimize talent strategy to ensure proper mix of resources.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s in technology related field or equivalent, with 6 to 8 years of architecture experience.
Strong architecture and recent hands-on engineering experience with modern technologies.
Successfully architected large scale technology initiatives.
Experience with Salesforce ecosystem architecture, API/event-driven integration patterns, and customer/experience management platforms is highly valued.
Familiarity with AI/ML platforms, agentic workflow patterns, and engineering enablement tools is a plus.
Strong leadership experience with a proven ability to influence executive and organizational decisions.
Experience mentoring technology architects and engineers.
Ability to align team goals and actions with the organization’s broader mission and strategy.
Extensive experience working an agile operational model.
Experience supporting transformational change.
Insurance technology experience preferred.
