About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor and drive the direction of the team, overseeing the adoption of new Cyber Risk Services that meet policyholder needs.
  • Help define and execute the strategic roadmap for cyber risk services.
  • Conduct the most complex comprehensive risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats for policyholders.
  • Build cross-department relationships with business, tech, underwriting, as well as externally with broker and vendors.
  • Oversee the team’s responses to policyholder, broker or underwriter escalations.
  • Drive actionable recommendations to policyholders on how to mitigate identified highly complex cyber risks, including driving product development of risk prevention and recovery services.
  • Provide human resources management, including coaching, performance management, team development and growth, and workforce planning.
  • Represent Travelers at industry events and thought leadership forums.
  • Partner with Underwriting and business leads.
  • Provide direction and coaching for more complex projects.
  • Promote a deep understanding of the evolving cyber threat landscape, including emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques on the team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to a diverse audience.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP) are highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to lead and facilitate advanced training sessions, presentations, and tabletop exercises.
  • 7+ years of experience in the insurance, legal or cyber industries.
  • Proven track record of effective problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Extensive knowledge of cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and what causes cyber attacks and claims.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct detailed risk assessments and develop comprehensive mitigation strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team, in working cross-functionally with underwriters, brokers and policyholders. If managing employees, must have experience directly or indirectly leading people.
