About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Partner with actuary to learn how to complete rate indications, pricing factor development, state filing support, live testing of pricing changes and how to monitor results
- Learn how to form reserve opinion from claims data and communicate results to key stakeholders
- Develop technical acumen through coding new models in Python and SQL
- Monitor key business metrics and recommend changes to enhance sophistication of the rating plan
- Perform ad hoc analyses as needed by the team
Requirements
What you’ll need- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science or other quantitative field
- Enthusiasm for learning and asking questions
- Ability to communicate to a non-technical audience
- Passion for problem solving and strong analytical skills
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a fast-growing environment
