About the role
- Play a leading role in safeguarding assets and reputation by identifying and mitigating risks
- Move beyond traditional approaches to foster a culture of excellence and innovation
- Become a trusted expert for an emerging risk environment and foster a risk-aware mindset
- Propose and implement risk strategy tailored to specific needs
- Identify and prioritize operational and financial risks along with regulatory and strategic challenges
- Prepare and present detailed risk reports to department heads, senior management, and Board
- Lead and develop a high-performing risk management team
- Lead enterprise-wide risk reporting strategy to identify emerging issues
Requirements
- Expert in risk management frameworks and methodologies with deep understanding of industry best practices
- Strong understanding of the regulated financial services business model and operations (preferably within insurance market)
- Knowledgeable about UK regulations and insurance principles, eligible for FCA Certified Manager role
- Proven leader with experience in motivating teams and implementing effective risk strategies
- Collaborative partner who can build relationships and influence stakeholders at highest organization levels
- Highly analytical and technically literate, able to use data/software to identify emerging trends
- Resilient and ethical, staying calm under pressure and maintaining objectivity under complex challenges
