About the role
- Shape and drive the data strategy across functional domains (underwriting, operations, distribution).
- Set vision, roadmap, and priorities that align with business objectives and goals.
- Implement and develop analytic data products, data movement and data persistence capability from pilot to production, support, and maintenance.
- Recommend data strategies for various consumption patterns, including enterprise architectures, platforms and application infrastructure.
- Oversee operationalizing and automating capabilities to ensure secure, supported and scalable solutions.
- Present recommendations to senior management and executives; influence executive-level decisions.
- Lead and coach domain-focused data strategy leaders and guide senior team members and managers.
- Establish functional budgets, policies, practices, and strategic objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM related field or equivalent.
- Twelve or more years of related work experience (ideal).
- Six or more years of team leadership experience (ideal).
- Industry-level expertise of technology capabilities and direction and in-depth knowledge of technology and business needs.
- Must have: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training with data tools, techniques, and manipulation.
- Must have: Seven years of data engineering or equivalent experience.
- Must have: Two years of previous management experience.
