About the role

  • Deliver high quality reporting, data models and insights
  • Act as a key link between business stakeholders and the wider data function
  • Support our transition into Microsoft Fabric
  • Design, develop and maintain scalable Power BI and Fabric data models
  • Use strong SQL to combine datasets from Snowflake and other sources
  • Rebuild and restructure existing models
  • Ensure compliance with data governance policies and the evolving Fabric architecture
  • Create compelling dashboards and visualisations
  • Develop self-serve reporting assets
  • Create documentation for models, dashboards and visualisation standards
  • Deliver training and guidance to Power BI Super Users and stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, architecture and insight generation

Requirements

  • At least 2 years experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting or Analytics
  • Strong experience designing and developing Power BI data models and dashboards
  • Strong SQL, Power Query and DAX capability for combining complex datasets
  • Experience working with or strong exposure to Microsoft Fabric
  • Ability to restructure, optimise or rebuild models as part of platform transitions
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to turn business questions into reporting outputs
  • Ability to identify trends, interpret data and present findings clearly
  • Experience conducting peer reviews and providing constructive feedback
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using Jira or similar workflow tools
  • Degree in Mathematics, Business, Computer Science or related field (desirable)
  • Experience with advanced Power BI modelling techniques (desirable)
  • Experience in Data Engineering or data warehouse development (desirable)
  • Experience analysing data using Python or R (desirable)
