About the role
- Coordinate the scheduling, routing, and tracking of parcel shipments, ensuring adherence to delivery deadlines and service level agreements.
- Process orders for parcel shipments, entering shipment details, generating shipping labels, and preparing necessary documentation for outbound deliveries.
- Monitor the status of parcel shipments in real-time, proactively identifying any potential delays or issues and taking appropriate action to minimize impact on delivery schedules.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding parcel shipments, providing updates on shipment status, resolving inquiries, and addressing any concerns or issues.
- Liaise with parcel carriers to coordinate pickups, schedule deliveries, and resolve any discrepancies or service-related issues, maintaining positive relationships to ensure reliable and efficient transportation services.
- Assist in managing inventory levels and stock availability for parcel shipments, collaborating with internal teams to optimize inventory replenishment and fulfillment processes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline parcel operations and improve efficiency, implementing best practices and recommending changes to enhance overall performance and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or related field is a plus.
- Prior experience in parcel shipping, logistics coordination, or customer service roles within the transportation industry.
