About the role
- Report to the Executive Director Finance Partnering & Insights, with a dotted line to the Chief Executive for NSW Motorways
- Establish NSW Motorways as an entity, leading the enablement of Finance and delivery of key program milestones
- Act as a trusted strategic finance advisor to NSW Motorways' executive leadership
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes and deliver monthly/quarterly financial reporting cycles
- Collaborate with the Chief Executive and Leadership Team in preparing the strategic plan and Motorways Asset and Services Plan to inform FY27 budget
- Deliver financial transformation and sustainability initiatives balancing compliance, innovation, and reform
- Lead and develop a small high-performing, collaborative, and inclusive finance team
- Define the future-state ongoing (BAU) financial management beyond the initial setup phase
Requirements
- tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
- full membership of a recognised professional accounting body
- demonstrated experience leading financial enablement in large-scale programs or entity setups
- ideally, proven experience in the government sector
- experience in a Motorways environment will be highly regarded
