About the role
- Work within Engineering and System Integrity (ESI) Branch, Substation team of ESI Electrical Engineering at Sydney Trains
- Provide technical expertise for electrical internal and external designs and investigations
- Develop technical standards, scopes of work, feasibility studies and project costings
- Work on high voltage traction substations, sectioning huts, AC circuit breaker replacements, rectifier upgrades, 415V AC auxiliary supply upgrades and 120V DC/1500V isolation rail connection switches upgrades
- Attend meetings and conduct presentations and write reports
- Review control schematics and detailed arrangement drawings
- Perform occasional field work to substations for site inspections, commissioning and support for incidents
Requirements
- Relevant Electrical Engineering degree qualification
- Experience in Power Engineering
- Experience producing control schematics and detailed arrangement drawings
- Proven experience engaging with complex stakeholder environments both internal and external
- Skills to engage in meetings and conduct technical presentations
- Ability to undertake occasional field work to substations for site inspections, commissioning and incident support
