About the role
- Work as part of a small team in the development and delivery of new bridge construction and bridge maintenance projects across the region
- Manage bridge project deliverables to ensure projects meet time, cost and scope objectives
- Manage the investigation and design process through effective project briefs, cost estimates, stakeholder engagement, and scheduling
- Implement and follow a high standard of quality and systems to adhere to TfNSW standards, procedures and protocols including workplace health & safety and environmental management
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all team objectives are met
- Apply civil, bridge, concrete and steel engineering principles—particularly around maintenance—to achieve delivery outcomes
Requirements
- Experience managing construction and maintenance projects (bridges experience highly regarded)
- A four-year engineering (Civil or related) degree from an Australian University or equivalent overseas qualifications
- Strong understanding of civil, bridge, concrete and steel engineering principals particularly around maintenance
- Technical knowledge of materials, equipment and techniques used in a bridge and infrastructure environment
- Knowledge of tender and contract processes and requirements
- Ability to manage project deliverables to meet time, cost and scope objectives
- Experience preparing project briefs, cost estimates, stakeholder engagement, and scheduling
- Ability to work effectively as a team player in a small team
- Commitment to workplace health & safety and environmental management
