About the role
- lead and support the workstreams for the integration of Digital Systems into the Sydney Trains business
- manage a team of technical experts/engineers to resolve technical issues and work towards solutions
- provide technical expertise into technical and risk assessment documents and presentation materials
- manage the development of engineering procedures required by the Engineering and Maintenance branch for implementation of the system
Requirements
- tertiary qualification in a relevant Engineering discipline e.g. Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, Software, Mechatronics or similar
- experience in ETCS L2 and the integration of complex signalling systems
- familiarity and experience with railway safety systems (e.g. signalling, train control, rollingstock, telecommunications)
- national/international safety standards including Rail Safety National Law and the risk management framework applied by Sydney Trains
- strong stakeholder management skills to effectively work with all levels of stakeholders
