About the role
- Lead cyber operations and strengthen the defence of Transport’s ‘crown jewels’
- Provide hands-on expert guidance across cyber operations, incident management, risk mitigation, and compliance
- Champion best practice in cyber compliance and monitor/respond to threats
- Collaborate closely with the compliance team as a subject matter expert
Requirements
- Proven experience in cyber security operations
- Understanding of compliance frameworks such as Essential 8, ISO27001, NIST Framework, and PCI-DSS
- Technical depth and stakeholder engagement skills
- Hands-on experience with cyber operations tools such as Qualys, Elastic, and EDR solutions
- Experienced across both IT and Operational Technology environments
- Solid understanding in operating systems and network fundamentals
- Privileged Access Management and security architecture design and practices
- Professional certifications or a good understanding of prerequisites for certifications or technologies like MCSA, MCITP, CISSP, CCSP, OSCP, PCIP, or CEH preferred but not mandatory.
