Key responsibilities & impact

Perform full-cycle game localization and translation from Simplified Chinese into English
Localize in-game UI, storylines, character dialogue, and marketing copy
Conduct linguistic LQA
Polish narratives and adapt content cross-culturally
Brainstorm creatively with game teams
Complete information verification, NDA signing, qualification sample test, and onboarding
Work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during core business hours

Requirements

What you’ll need

Hands-on game localization experience
Native or near-native English speaker
ZHCN → EN language-pair expertise
Minimum qualification through one of the following: degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies with significant translation training; 2+ years of translation experience plus a college degree; 5+ years of translation experience without a degree; or a translation certification issued by an appropriate government body
Ability to work core business hours remotely
Availability for 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8 hours/day
Gaming translation/localization experience, including gaming genres, partial client lists, and estimated word count
Ability to sign a confidentiality agreement
Ability to complete a short unpaid qualification assessment/translation test
Simplified Chinese proficiency at native or bilingual, fluent, or intermediate level
English proficiency at native or bilingual, near-native, or fluent level
