Troubleshoots, resolves, and performs root cause analysis of infrastructure and endpoint issues
Contributes to the development of hardware, software, and security technology standards
Coordinates the design, development, acquisition, implementation, and disposal of computer hardware, software, and communications
Works with Supply Chain on shipping and receiving hardware for new hires and projects
Provides assistance, guidance, and communications to other departments, offices, and rigs for changes in the endpoint and Cloud environment
Provides On-Call assistance for critical, technology-related issues
Monitors and maintains IT security standards for all client endpoints and servers
Ensures compliance with software licensing agreements and assists with renewal and maintenance
Develops annual technology goals and objectives, in collaboration with the IT Director
Assists with rig startups, moves, activations, decommissioning and cold stacks
Required to work offshore in rig environments up to 20 days per year
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
CompTIA A+ preferred
Three plus (3+) years of professional experience in an IT Support role
Three plus (3+) years of experience working in an offshore/marine environment is preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Advanced knowledge of personal computer hardware, Microsoft desktop operating systems and peripheral equipment such as printers, drivers, monitors, keyboards, and scanners
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Azure, and Intune
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and configuration
Working knowledge of remote desktop access software such as RDP
Thorough knowledge of Local Area Network fundamentals
Basic knowledge of IP networking fundamentals including routing protocols, addressing, and name resolution (such as DHCP, and DNS)
General understanding of software distribution systems such as Intune, SureMDM and SCCM
Basic project management skills for managing concurrent projects and meeting deadlines
Ability to independently, and in conjunction with other analysts, perform thorough problem analysis for hardware and software
Willingness/ability to work offshore in rig environments up to 20 days per year
Availability for on-call assistance for critical technology-related issues
