About the role

  • Oversee and maintain all necessary hospice, branch office, and agency licenses, ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements.
  • Manage Medicare and Medicaid provider enrollment, revalidation, and credentialing processes to maintain active status and compliance.
  • Coordinate and maintain accreditation certifications and related compliance documentation.
  • Ensure controlled substances and pharmacy licenses are current and compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain business entity filings and work with the Controller on Certificates of Insurance to ensure organizational compliance.
  • Oversee and manage contracts with skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, therapy providers, DME suppliers, ambulatory providers, and other core direct non-labor vendors.
  • Manage relationships and contracts with medical directors and other healthcare providers to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee audits including TPE, SMRC, CERTS, RAC, UPIC, ADR, ZPIC/UPIC, and other regulatory reviews, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Review and submit Plans of Correction (POCs) for identified deficiencies, ensuring implementation and ongoing compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with facility requirements and standards for hospice operations.
  • Work with leadership to maintain survey readiness and respond to survey findings in accordance with applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to maintain compliance with managed care contracts and credentialing requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare compliance or internal auditing, with hospice-specific experience preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of CMS Conditions of Participation for hospice care and state health department regulations.
  • Certifications (preferred but not required): Certified Healthcare Compliance (CHC)
  • Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Administrator (CHPCA)
