About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Deploy, configure, and manage physical and virtual systems including servers, endpoints, and cloud resources across Microsoft Azure and AWS.
  • Administer Microsoft 365, Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), and related identity and collaboration services.
  • Maintain Windows Server environments including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Plan and execute system upgrades, patches, and maintenance windows with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Design, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, wireless, and VPN environments; configure firewalls, routers, switches, and access points.
  • Enforce security best practices across systems and networks; apply the principle of least privilege and monitor for anomalies.
  • Contribute to compliance initiatives by maintaining accurate system records and supporting audit activities.
  • Serve as Tier 2 escalation point — diagnose and resolve complex incidents, own issues through to resolution, and communicate status clearly.
  • Onboard users to new systems and tools; develop training materials and SOPs that enable self-service and reduce repeat incidents.
  • Partner with project managers, subject matter experts, and senior leadership to scope and deliver technology initiatives on time.
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with third-party providers to maintain service quality and SLA compliance.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support critical system availability: respond to after hours alerts and incidents in accordance with defined SLA and escalation procedures.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of systems engineering or advanced helpdesk experience in a virtualized, enterprise environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, and Entra ID administration.
  • Experience administering Microsoft Intune for endpoint management, device compliance, application deployment, and policy enforcement.
  • Solid working knowledge of Windows and macOS environments, Active Directory, and Windows Server.
  • Proven networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS/DHCP, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting instincts.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting status to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver consistently in a fast-moving environment.
  • Heightened sense of urgency and resolve.
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to root-cause analysis.
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
