About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support the client’s customers with questions about how to obtain diabetes care devices through various providers
- Answer high-volume inbound customer calls
- Engage with callers, actively listen, analyze their needs, and provide superior service
- Navigate multiple applications to research solutions
- Multitask while providing accurate, timely, step-by-step instructions
- Resolve conflicts and assist frustrated customers
- Work onsite initially and transition to a performance-based hybrid schedule
- Follow assigned full-time schedules and work in a structured call-center environment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Fluent (verbal and written) in both English and Spanish
- At least 18 years or older
- High School Diploma, or equivalent
- Able to successfully pass a criminal background check
- Reasonable driving distance to the Greenville, SC site
- Able to work onsite initially, then move to a hybrid schedule based on performance
- Able to work full-time, with overtime opportunities as needed
- 100% strict adherence to the assigned schedule
- Availability for shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable attendance
- Strong computer knowledge and ability to type at least 30 wpm
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to follow procedures and policies
- Ability to multitask applications while speaking with customers by phone
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, time-pressured environment taking back-to-back calls
- Ability to actively listen, demonstrate empathy, and resolve customer problems
- Ability to handle frequent conflict situations and upset customers
- Ability to sit, reach, communicate verbally and electronically, type, read, multitask, and concentrate for prolonged periods
- Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Previous call center experience, preferred
- Experience with or understanding of health insurance in the US, preferred
- Experience with diabetes, medical background, or exposure to medical terms, preferred
- Secure, quiet, distraction-free private home office with a door during the hybrid phase
- Hardwired DSL, Fiber, or Cable Internet via Ethernet
- Minimum internet speed of 20 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload
- Ping less than 100 ms
