Under the direction of the Manager, purchases service and delivers customer facing quotes/proposals for service.
Demonstrates technical knowledge within the area of Calibration and Repair Services and related quality aspects of the process and its impact
Purchases calibration, and, or repair services from various vendors
Work with the lab personnel and management to ensure timely and effective management of the process
Communicate with customer personnel in order to procure method of payment
Obtains competitive bids. Reviews and analyzes price quotations. Coordinates purchase requirements with operating departments.
Prepares purchase orders or bid requests. Coordinates activities involved with procuring services for organization.
Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, and turn time, and delivery schedule.
Discusses defective or unacceptable services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
May approve invoices for payment. Provide information to the appropriate departments regarding delivery issues for the return of customer goods.
Must contact customers via both phone & email. Documenting all information within company database(s) as necessary.

Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
