About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and maintain the product vision and roadmap for finance and accounting systems
- Translate accounting, audit, and compliance requirements into product features and actionable requirements
- Align systems with GAAP, internal controls, and enterprise financial strategy
- Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and modernization of financial workflows
- Partner with Finance, FP&A, Treasury, Audit, Compliance, SBP, and product teams
- Serve as liaison between finance stakeholders, BSP teams, and product teams
- Facilitate cross-functional discussions on deliverables and priorities
- Own and prioritize the product backlog
- Write user stories, accounting requirements, and acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with BSP teams to deliver features and enhancements on schedule
- Validate solutions through testing, stakeholder feedback, and financial reviews
- Ensure data integrity across interconnected systems and financial data flows
- Support audit readiness through controls, traceability, and documentation
- Evaluate product performance and identify improvement areas
- Communicate product impact through dashboards, reporting, and presentations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- 3–7 years of experience in product ownership, financial systems, or accounting operations
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting processes
- Experience with Core Business Systems such as Oracle, WorkSight, and enterprise reporting systems
- Ability to translate financial requirements into technical specifications
- Excellent communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills
- Preferred CPA, CMA, or similar accounting certification
- Preferred background in Agile and Lean methodologies and cross-functional product delivery
- Familiarity with data analytics, financial modeling, or BI tools
