About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined commercial market
- Commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in commercial environments
- Coordinate with team leaders, project managers, and customers to understand on-site installation and repair requirements
- Forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work
- Serve as the direct customer contact for assigned projects
- Identify, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems at customer locations
- Use software, technology, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units
- Work overtime and weekends as required, including occasional overnight stays
- Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets
- Record asset use, wear, and condition
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Technical School or formal training preferred
- Typically 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software
- Working proficiency with a handheld computer, such as a smartphone or iPad
- Valid driver’s license held for a minimum of 12 months
- No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, hit and run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
- EPA Certification
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required, including occasional overnight stays
- Ability to pass additional drug screening for this safety-sensitive role
