About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform end-to-end testing, download programming, start up, commission, and service assigned projects
Serve as the direct customer contact for Trane Technologies products and equipment
Identify, examine, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems at customer locations
Coordinate with the team leader/project manager and customer on on-site installation and repair requirements
Forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work
Use software, technology, hand tools, blueprints, and engineering specifications to diagnose and repair units
Enforce safety standards and maintain security and accountability of company-issued and procured assets
Record asset use, wear, and condition
Mentor team members
Maintain flexibility to work overtime, business-required weeks, and occasional overnight stays
Commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up commercial HVAC systems
Act as the primary service and maintenance contact for customers in a defined commercial market

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or equivalent, or certificate of completion from an accredited technical school is required
At least 10 years of experience in commercial HVAC, including chiller systems
Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Working proficiency with a handheld computer such as a smartphone or iPad
Valid driver’s license held for a minimum of 12 months
No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, hit and run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
EPA Certification (e.g. HVAC Journeyman, Boiler Operator, Gas Installer)
Ability to work overtime and business-required weeks, including occasional overnight stays
Safety-sensitive role may require passing additional drug screening
