About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Service and maintain various laboratory equipment at customer locations
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues involving refrigeration and electronics
- Use testing equipment and read wiring diagrams
- Perform mechanical and electrical repairs
- Maintain accurate service records
- Follow safety protocols
- Work occasional overtime and rotate on-call duties
- Service equipment including freezers, refrigerators, centrifuges, chillers, backup systems, chambers, dryers, washers, incubators, ovens, shakers, steam generators, and related laboratory equipment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Refrigeration training and 2+ years of hands-on experience
- Valid driver's license held for at least 12 months with a clean record
- Universal EPA Certification preferred
- Electrical and control troubleshooting experience required
- Willingness to pass a government background check
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Trade School Certificate, Military/Formal Training, or equivalent experience
- Hands-on expertise in refrigeration and electronics
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues
- Proficiency with testing equipment and reading wiring diagrams
- Understanding of mechanical and electrical repairs
- Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records
- Adherence to safety protocols
- Availability for occasional overtime and rotating on-call duties
- Safety-sensitive role; may require additional drug screening
