About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Start and commission new HVAC and controls systems
Diagnose and repair environmental-control systems in diverse commercial settings
Service products and equipment on assigned projects at customer locations
Identify, diagnose, and repair equipment and systems to ensure customer satisfaction
Coordinate with team leaders and customers to understand on-site installation and repair requirements
Forecast issues, gather materials, and synchronize on-site work
Maintain current knowledge of Trane products, including installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of direct digital control systems
Enforce safety standards
Record the use, wear, and condition of company-issued and procured assets
Work overtime and weeks as business requires, including occasional overnight stays

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School Diploma or equivalent required
Typically at least 3–5 years of experience in HVAC/Controls
Technical School or formal training preferred
Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Working proficiency with a handheld computer, such as a smartphone or iPad
Valid driver’s license held for a minimum of 12 months
No major or frequent traffic violations, including DUI, Hit & Run, license suspension, reckless/careless driving, multiple smaller infractions, or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years
Previous experience with DDC control systems preferred
EPA preferred
Safety-sensitive role may require passing additional drug screening
Ability to work overtime and weeks as business requires, including occasional overnight stays
